Jodie TANG
London born Jodie is a Hong Kong based, Colour Technician and Professional Hair Stylist. Upon initially acquiring her National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Hertfordshire (northof London), Jodie then undertook a Post Graduate at Headmasters Academy in Putney, South London, landing a position as a Hair Stylist in their Mayfair, Central London salon.
Jodie’s drive for knowledge inspired her to continue her education, to further improve her skills and techniques. Her education included: colour correction, balayage Men’s hair-cutting techniques and Brazilian blowout, to name a few.
Although London offered Jodie crucial training and experience, she realised that travelling overseas could also provide her with limitless more opportunities.
Jodie’s decision to live and work in Hong Kong has made a greater impact on her, than she ever imagined. Being exposed to a variety of unexpected experiences and opportunities have been life-changing for Jodie’s personal and professional life.
Valuing wearable, modern, well-cut hair, that not only looks exceptional in the salon but also during the client’s day-to-day life, is what Jodie believes is essential experience for her clients.
In this ever-changing industry, Jodie prepares herself for the challenges ahead by being open to continued education, so as to further her knowledge and continue to improve and develop her styling and colouring techniques. Jodie is passionate about hairdressing and looks forward to the day when she will be seen to be pushing and redefining the boundaries, hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
